Cooper's Stories WWII

I transcribed the first of Cooper's writings.

My room has Lego’s everywhere.  My computer desk has two Indiana Jones Lego’s on it.  My shelves have tubs filled with dusty toys and an onyx chess set.  My bed has Star Wars sheets on it.  I am a 10 year old boy and these are the stories that I write.


WWII


WWII started when German armies, led by the German Fuhrur Adolf Hitler, started a world domination attempt in Europe.  The British and Russian’s held Hitler in Europe.

Meanwhile, Pearl Harbor’s U.S. Pacific fleet in Hawaii was surprised attacked by Japan.  After the attack America was in the war.  The attack on Guadalcanal was just the start of the war.  America teamed up with allied forces against the Japanese  and overtook the islands.

For now I am talking about the Pacific War and the  Big “E” or Enterprise aircraft carrier and her Corsair and Hellcats and also the Japanese Jakes, Dals, and Zeros.

The Enterprise launched 5 or 6 Corsair to take out enemy transports that were carrying thousands of troops to Guadalcanal.  Sometime in the afternoon the Corsair find the enemy ships.  Back gunners on the planes open fire on the enemy Zeros.  Minutes later Hellcats zoom in to support the corsair.  The corsair make their dive and bomb the enemy transports killing thousands of imperial troops.  Guadalcanal was safe for the moment.

That night Japanese battle ships were heading to bombard the Allies on the canal.  The Japanese did not see the battleship Washington coming to destroy them.  The battle raged and the Americans won.  Now with barely any aircraft remaining the Japanese lost control of the skies.  America would still fight for the Pacific.

In Europe D-Day had begun.  It was the largest amphibious invasion ever with more than 175,000 allied troops landing on the beaches of Normandy, France on June 6, 1944. The clouds were so thick allied bombers did not know where friends were.  Omaha beach was called Bloody Omaha because of the big battle that was fought. The Allies pulled through and the Germans surrendered in a church.

In the Pacific, Nagasaki and Hiroshima were hit hard with atom bombs which made Japan surrender.
